UNDERSTANDING IS GOOD FOR HEALTH: THE FIRST BOOK WITH THE “CERTIFICATION STICKER” IS IN THE LIBRARY NOW
The first book included in a bibliography that aims to guide the reader towards texts scientifically certified by a work group composed of physicians and librarians will be presented on Tuesday, June 18 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sala degli Affreschi Hall of the city library on Via Roma.
“Sospettosi. Noi e i nostri dubbi sulla scienza” (Einaudi 2019), written by Silvia Bencivelli, physician, journalist, science popularizer, radio and television host, can be recognized thanks to a blue identification tag available for consultation and loan. The “blue sticker” books will find a special place in the medical books section of the library.
The event, organized by the City Library, Fondazione Bruno Kessler – “FBK for Health” and the Trento Medical Association is one of the first tangible results of the project dedicated to Public Health Literacy – Understanding is good for health, which has the goal of identifying and suggesting reliable and quality information sources to users who want to deepen their knowledge on health-related issues.
The author will attend the event and speak with Marco Clerici, general practitioner and clinical consultant of the “FBK for Health” program. (listen to the interview)
It will also be possible to purchase a copy of the book thanks to the presence of Einaudi bookshop representatives
