On Tuesday, November 11, 2025<\/strong>, a meeting titled \u201cTechnology to Support the Caregiver and the Person with Alzheimer\u2019s<\/strong>\u201d was held at the Contrada Larga Senior Services Center in Trento. The event was organized and promoted by Alzheimer Trento ODV<\/strong> and curated by Fondazione Bruno Kessler’s Research Center for Digital Health and Wellness (DH&W Center).<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The goal of the event was to share how virtual reality (VR) and new technologies<\/strong> can provide concrete support for both caregivers and people with dementia.<\/p>\n

Following opening remarks by Renzo Dori,<\/strong> President of the Trento Alzheimer\u2019s Association, and Stefano Forti<\/strong>, Director of the DH&W Center, researchers Susanna Pardini<\/strong> and Anna Genovese<\/strong>, along with technologists Michele Lamon and<\/strong>\u00a0Riccardo Calcagno<\/strong>, delivered presentations.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe innovative approach to dementia, and the support that technology and artificial intelligence can offer to caregivers and patients in the non-severe stages of dementia, is still little known and underestimated\u2014especially when viewed as part of a future model of care, assistance, and the preservation of a person\u2019s remaining abilities for as long as possible,\u201d said Renzo Dori.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Attendees, who also had the opportunity to try 3D viewers<\/strong> and immerse themselves in customized virtual environments, were introduced to several innovative tools related to the use of virtual reality<\/strong>:<\/p>\n
