From Thursday, October 7 to Sunday, October 10, TrentinoSalute4.0 will be taking part in the 2021 Sports Festival with an initiative that promotes exercise, healthy lifestyles and learning about your local area. An exciting experience that will involve people, friends, acquaintances, sportspeople, families and geocachers in a challenge through the streets of the city, discovering fun facts and historical anecdotes, thanks to the use of the Salute+ App, developed by FBK.

The initiative, hosted at the MUSE “Sport Tech District” area of Trentino Sviluppo, has been organized by the Department of Health and Social Policies of the Province of Trento, the Department of Health, Social Policies and Family, the Trento Province Health System and Fondazione Bruno Kessler. At the stand, visitors will be offered the chance to open their SPID digital identity accounts and set up their TreC_FSE app.

TS4.0 wishes to promote a “treasure hunt” among visitors, exploiting the city trails that had been designed by the older adults team from the “Kaleidoscope” cooperative in the various editions of the “Impronte”project. In fact, geocaching, an innovative and still little explored activity, is among the projects for the promotion of health and healthy lifestyles. It is a treasure hunt of sorts where participants use digital technologies and a GPS receiver (on their smartphones) to hide or find real or virtual objects. Geocaching combines physical exercise with the use of digital technologies, counteracting the sedentary lifestyle by promoting an outdoor activity. Also, it allows users to learn about the history and culture of the city, thanks to dedicated itineraries (“Trento in the centuries”, “Italianità di Trento”, etc. ..).

How is our initiative organized?

During the Festival (October 7-10, 2021), representatives of TrentinoSalute4.0 and the PAT IT department will be present, assisted by a hostess service, which will encourage the population to open their own Digital Identity (SPID) accounts and to set up the TreC_FSE app. Staff will help citizens in all the steps that will enable them to participate, with the upgraded “Salute+” app, also in the “Treasure Hunt” which will take place through the streets of our town.

""

Participants will just need to install the “Trentino Salute+” app (available for free on Apple Store and Google Play) developed by FBK. The app will show different routes (7) that people can choose based on their characteristics (length, difficulty, estimated calorie consumption and walking time).

The hunt will start after participants activate their mobile phone GPS and choose one of the seven city tours. Participants will then leave the stand and start searching for the caches indicated on the map displayed on their mobile phones. At the end of the trail, when all the caches have been traced, each participant will be able to return to the TS4.0 stand where the operator will check on his or her mobile phone whether the trail has been completed and will award him/her a prize/gift.

Technical specifications:

The App does not require a login and password (you only need your Taxpayer Ud. Code and your health card) and can be immediately used to view the routes and caches that are distributed on a virtual map of the city of Trento.

As the participant – having been geo localized – approaches the cache, he or she will be able to answer the riddle. Correct answers will help determine the score.
