How it works:

During the Festival, from Thursday, October 10 to Sunday, October 13 (from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm), participants will have to stop by the TrentinoSalute4.0 stand – at the Sport Tech District on the lawn in front of the Palazzo delle Albere and MUSE of Trento – install the GeoTreC App on their mobile phones, enable GPS and choose one of the four routes (the “hunts”) according to their preferences (based on theme, length, difficulty, estimate of calorie consumption and travel time).

The TS4.0 staff will start the stopwatch and the hunt will start!

Participants can then leave the stand and, having enabled their GPS, begin searching for the geocaches (real or virtual objects) indicated on the map displayed on their mobile phone. After having identified them all and answered the riddles on the history and culture of Trento, they will have to go back to the TS4.0 stand, where an operator will stop the time and check, on the participants’ mobile phones, that the route has been completed. Depending on the score obtained (number of correct/ incorrect answers and time) contestants will be awarded a very useful prize.

The initiative, organized by TS4.0 (Autonomous Province of Trento – Department of Health and Social Policies – Health, Social Policies, Disabilities and Family Office / Trento Province Healthcare System / Fondazione Bruno Kessler) – and sponsored by Consorzio MELINDA (Val di Non – Trentino) was designed in cooperation with the seniors who, in collaboration with Trento-based Cooperative Kaleidscopio, had participated in the “IMPRONTE” project and devised the treasure hunt routes.

*NOTE*: To use the GeoTreC App you must attend the Trento Sports Festival October 10 through 13, 2019.
