The goal is to ensure coordination, adaptation, innovation and convergence within regional and provincial health education ecosystems, as well as to promote European mobility and collaboration among health professionals and students from participating regions.
This project’s strength lies not only in health training but also in the opportunity to exchange best practices with other countries. It aims to foster future-oriented knowledge and skills through the creation of dedicated regional hubs, supported by a distance learning (FAD) platform where professional courses will be developed and made accessible. In addition to discussing the progress of the work and comparing development opportunities across the various hubs, the meeting in the capital of the Valencian Community also featured the presentation of a platform developed by Fondazione Bruno Kessler, which provides access to a range of training materials focused on future challenges in the health sector. The aim over the next few months is to test the platform’s content and develop new training activities for the hub at the local level.
Finally, participants were also offered the opportunity to visit the CESIS, the “Interdisciplinary Simulation Center in Health” of the Universitat de València.
The first meeting that officially kicked off the project had been hosted in June 2022 in Sonderborgh, Denmark.

The European project EUVECA (European VET Excellence Centre for Health Care) is an initiative funded by the ERASMUS+ program and aims to develop future-oriented skills in the health sector. Beginning in 2022 and spanning four years, the Autonomous Province of Trento, in collaboration with eighteen partners from eight European countries and under the leadership of Southern Denmark, has formed a consortium to establish seven regional Centers of Vocational Excellence. These centers aim to develop, test, and deliver forward-looking skills tailored to the health sector.
The seven regional hubs—located in Denmark, Germany, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Slovenia, and Spain—are interconnected through a European platform dedicated to vocational excellence in healthcare. In Italy, the hub is being developed in Trento..
EUVECA is managed by the PAT Innovation and Research Office, in coordination with the Training and Human Resources Development Office of the Department of Health and Social Policies, and sees close collaboration between the Province and Fondazione Bruno Kessler, together with the Trento province Healthcare System, as partners of TrentinoSalute4.0.
