Telemedicine and virtual coaching for the care of older adults
To celebrate the international Alzheimer’s day, the local health and social care unit n. 2 Marca Trevigiana organized an on-line conference entitled “Alzheimer: Telemedicine and Art after CoVID19” on September 21. Over 60 people, including professionals, local policy makers, caregivers and the third sector, registered for the event.
One of the sessions focused on the VALUECARE European project, in which also TrentinoSalute4.0 is participating, which aims to develop integrated health and social services to improve the care of older adults.
The ValueCare team took the opportunity to initiate a first co-design approach by making participants aware of concrete actions that create more value for patients and for the areas where technology can improve care experience. TrentinoSalute4.0 presented, in particular, its virtual coach system and its remote visit project, televisita.
The talks were greatly appreciated by the conference attendees, arousing interest and paving the way for involvement in future co-design activities in the coming months.
During the meeting, the video produced by the Treviso partners (ISRAA – Institute for hospitalization and assistance services for older adults) was also presented, that explains the pilot study being tested in Treviso and which will also use the virtual coaching technology developed. by Fondazione Bruno Kessler‘s TS4.0 team: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYbQtv1ufR4&feature=youtu.be
