Act No. 24/2017 aimed to bring order to one of the areas of civil and criminal liability most debated in doctrine and jurisprudence with a view to seeking a new balance in the physician-patient relationship that would allow, on the one hand, professionals to carry out their work with greater ease and on the other hand ensure patients greater transparency and the possibility of being compensated in a short and certain time for any damage suffered. Two years after the entry into force of this law, have the intended goals been met? Where are jurisprudence and doctrine headed with respect to the profiles that have proved the most controversial to apply?

This will be discussed by professors, experts, members of the Court of Appeals, lawyers and doctors next Friday, September 13, at 9:00 a.m., at FBK’s Trento location (via S. Croce 77), during the day of discussion open also to all interested citizens, and organized by the “FBK for Health” program of Trento-based Fondazione Bruno Kessler, the Trento Medical Association and the Observatory on Medical Liability.

Admission is free.
